When I get older, losing my hair...

Today, Father's Day, June 18th, 2006, is Paul McCartney's Birthday. Did I mention it's his 64th? Well, it is. Pretty impressive I'd say. Of course, we've all heard the song When I'm Sixty Four. And we all waited for this day when we could celebrate Paul's 64th, just because of that song. I'm listening to it as I type this up. I was hoping it would sound different, or more special for this occasion but somehow...it doesn't. Or does it? Then we come to this lovely little lyric, "Will you still need me, will you still feed me," It appears not. Apparently, Paul's latest wife is divorcing him. That's kind of funny. Anyways, happy birthday Paul! We could sing Birthday on this day as well, I suppose. Wowza.

You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too--yeah
They say it's your birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

Yay for Paul McCartney and his musical genius!
Happy 64th my friend...

Happy 64th, Paul! I'm sorry there won't be anyone to feed him or need him. But then, he's got enough money to pay for someone to feed him and "need" him. (j/k)

Yes, even if he gives his second wife the promised 400 million, I believe that he will still be able to be fed and ned.

So, pretty much just realized that my original title for this post was wrong. I discovered about two seconds ago that the song sings losing my hair instead of losing my head. Too funny. Tis one of those "one day you'll look to see a gun" moments. I seem to have a lot of those.

I hate when someone points out that I am singing the wrong lyrics to a song. It's like, "Oh right, I knew that."

Who needs right lyrics to sing your favorite songs? Melissa and I are often found cruising around singing who knows what at that top of our lungs.

Hooray for Elder McCartney.
I still need him.

Amb, I love it when you sing wrong lyrics.

Michelle, like this one:
I wear my sunglasses at night
so I can, so I can...
suhm da duh do -er- la dum dun dah
I'm googling this right away.

Yeah, no wonder I couldn't get these lyrics. First, they're bizarre. Second, they change every verse.

Man, what a great song.

Dang accents!
This is terribley embarrasing, but I thought that in "I'll Follow the Sun" they did indeed sing, see a gun instead of see I have gone. For the life of me, I could not figure out what you meant.
Deep within myself there is a well of infinite stupidity.

Don't feel stupid, Jos. It's like Melissa said, the lyrics are bizarre and they change every verse. Plus you've got those sweet accents that get in the way. It's funner to sing your own lyrics anyways. Tis a sure fire way to tick off Young Women leaders...ahem...

His birthday is the 18th of June. Sorry Lindsay.

Joslynn,

I made the exact same mistake. Then I kept forgetting which was the actual lyric. Brittanica can vouch for this.

Idiocy loves company.
