I KNOW! Why don't the darn people out there plant more trees? Trees are lovely. I just watched some people at the facility I work at tear out some plants, and just pour in concrete. So I walked on the fresh concrete (nothing imprinted) to show my disgust. Concrete is boring! The old plants that were there were these intimidating bushes that could kill you if you looked at them...
Sometimes I wonder why I can't just zip my lips and be still.
Shade is a luxury that is hard to come by in a world dominated by asphalt and global warming. On several occasions I have circled parking lots many consecutive times in order to find a tree or two-- only to be disappointed time and again.
Nedge- There are trees there, they're just...sticks in the ground with a few leaves on top. Hopefully someday they'll be giant, shade-giving...redwoods!
Brenda- School's going, and almost gone. I can't wait for August 1st to roll around.
Jos- I don't think anyone will ever know of the struggle that came about to recreate this post. Sorry about the fuss, eh?
Britt, There might not be a shady spot in the Trax parking lot, but there are a few shady characters on the Trax trains themselves. It is impossible to ride back on an evening train without sitting within the vicinity of at least one shifty-eyed and decidedly creepy old man.
After picking you up from trax multiple times this summer, I have found that-- even though the lot was bright and hot-- I have a certain endearment to the Sandy Civic Center. It is a wonderful place to be reunited.
the end of the line....as far as we go. what a dismal statement. it should be in a movie. i repeat it along with the robot lady everytime, and everytime i imagine the end of the universe...
Sometimes the shuttle is beneficial, Brenda, but I have also discovered that when the driver is stupid and opens up the hatch (which sets off the emergency alarm) it is much more time efficient just to walk.
Ha ha...that's kind of funny. It will definately be beneficial when it starts to snow. I am partial to Dave (we call him Ben) the bus driver for the stadium express during the day. And the Evening express by night. He's fun to talk to.

That's interesting Doyle. I've never really noticed. How's school going?

You just can't win.

That's just the way things fly in Salt Lake City.
Oh, and by all means, please forgive me for the struggle that came along with this post. I was completely at fault.
You two are confusing!
Thank you, Brenda.
You're welcome...

The end of the world. That's actually kind of funny.
Though I do not have the luxury of trax, I am beginning to get a feel for public transportation.
It is a beautiful thing.
The Aggie Shuttle is a lifesaver. It is a wonderful thing when you are without a car.
